I dont really know how well spread this traditon is...but here in Sweden...
when you where younger anyway...we used to go out all dressed up with makeup and clothes like a what we call Påskkärring....... translated a Easter woman.....you have brrom and maybe a pot or bag to collect candy......then we used to make little cards where we drawed eggs and anything easter related to on and then we went around knocking on neighbours doors giving them these card wishing them Happy Easter and recciveing candy for it....(a bit like ´halloween, but we wouldn do anything bad if they didnt :) ......
I remeber this very clearly loooved to put on makeup already then...and to get really red cheeks we used to use our red or pink lipstick to get really good color on the cheeks....lol.....
And I do know a lot of countries has the easter bunny coming with eggs......
we do have about the same just that someone hides eggs, present eggs......filled with candy or present.....and then all children and maybe even adult are welcome to go looking...........
Cant wait.........thats on Easter eve...saturday for us.......
How do you celibrate easter if you do it at all??
Looove to hear about how you do in your country in your culture-...if you dont celibrate that maybe you have this thing that you dont eat until eastern (or dont eat so much over the days anyway).......used to be like this here to........
